SCG Trust continues digital transformation

The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust has published a Request For Proposal (RFP), for the mobile App and Captive Portal services at the SCG and Allianz Stadium.

The RFP fits into the wider picture of the Trust’s digital transformation, which includes two world class venues and one powerful state of the art connected precinct.

It will be a continuation of four years of hard work as the Trust looks to build on the success of its connected stadium and app journey to this point.

The technology will ensure fans have a seamless digital experience at sporting matches, and are engaged from the moment they leave their door through to the final whistle.

The next stage of the transformation will position the SCG precinct as a priority site in Sydney’s Smart City Future as a hub for digital innovation.

“It’s important we find new ways to engage with fans who come to our venues,” said SCG Trust Chief Executive Jamie Barkley. “People who attend events want to be fully immersed in the experience, whether that be by seeing their face on the big screen or ordering food and drink from their phone.

“A best in field platform will vastly improve the fan’s wi-fi and digital experience and will allow us to take our venues into the future.

“We’re in the business of making memories. It is our belief that the future stadium mobile application will be the game day companion for all fans visiting the precinct and the data intelligence involved will create unique experiences for our passionate fan bases.”
