Swans elimination final confirmed

The Sydney Swans will take on cross town rival Greater Western Sydney in week one of the 2018 AFL Finals Series at the SCG.

The clubs' will clash in an elimination final on Saturday, September 8, after the Swans and Giants finished sixth and seventh respectively at the conclusion of the home and away season.

After locking in a spot in the finals, the Swans opponent was determined in Sunday’s clash between Melbourne and Greater Western Sydney at the MCG.

The blockbuster clash will be the third time in 2018 that these two sides have gone head-to-head.

When it comes to September, the sides have met just once before with the Giants winning the qualifying final back in 2016. Ticketing and membership arrangements will be communicated this week.
