NRL announce 2020 draw at the SCG

The NRL have announced a family-friendly draw at the SCG in 2020 with the Sydney Roosters to play eight home games at the ground and the St George Illawarra Dragons to host the annual Anzac Day Cup.

The draw features two Sunday games and two Saturday afternoon games as part of a shift towards fan-driven fixtures, with the Roosters’ first home fixture to be against the Gold Coast Titans in round four.

The Tri-colours will play the Dragons twice on home turf and will also take on the Melbourne Storm in round nine and arch-rivals the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round 24.

“We’re proud of this schedule,” said NRL CEO Todd Greenberg. “It’s a win for our fans and a win for our players while still providing for our broadcast partners, who invest so much into our game, with gripping content.

“Five-day turnarounds are down, more big matches will be played during the day and on weekends, and more parts of the country can see our great game live than ever before.”
