Zak Crawley called into England Test squad

Sydney Cricket Club player Zak Crawley has been included in the English Test squad for their upcoming two-Test series against New Zealand in November and December.

Crawley, who spent a season with the Sydney Cricket Club in 2018/19, has been rewarded for his consistent performance since his debut for Kent. This season alone, Crawley has struck two first class centuries and five fifties for his county side in what has been a career defining year.

His scores whilst in Sydney were not too different. Throughout his time Crawley amassed 715 runs at an average of 65.00 playing in the NSW Premier Cricket Competition. This total included two centuries with one in the Kingsgrove Sports T20 semi-final off an astonishing 42 deliveries.

Sydney Cricket Club General Manager, Nick Govers stated "It is fantastic to see Zak get picked in the England squad, it is a great recognition for all the hardwork and commitment he demonstrates to his cricket. We wish Zak all the best and hope to see him in English colours."

The two-Test series follows a five match T20 International series commencing on November 1 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
