The Women's T20 squad have got off the mark for the season with a dominant display at Drummoyne Oval on Sunday in their double header clash. The first fixture of the day saw the Tigers win in style against Gordon Red. Gordon were dismissed for a just 68 in the first innings thanks to a great performance from a Rampant bowling unit. Lauren Ryan claimed outstanding figures of 3/7 to headline the Tigers attack. Lauren was well supported throughout the innings by Ahilya Chandel who claimed 2/8 off 4 overs, with Emma Felsch, Nell Bryson-Smith and Synetta Manns all bowling economically, also claiming one wicket each in the innings. In reply, the Rampant Tigers reached 1/69, chasing the total in just 8.2 overs! Naomi McDonald led the charge by taking down the Gordon Red bowling attack, finishing with 54no off just 34 balls. A great all round performance by the Tigers to begin the day saw the squad carry plenty of confidence into the second fixture.

The second game saw the Tigers take on Universities Gold, with the Rampants again dominating in the first innings with the ball, restricting the opposition to just 6/68 at the conclusion of their 20 overs. Ananaya Sharma led the attack for the Tigers claiming 3/6 off 4 overs, with all the bowlers chipping in with economical spells of bowling. In similar fashion to the first fixture, the Tigers took on the Universities Gold bowling attack to finish 2/69, chasing down the target in 10.5 overs!
