The big dance awaits the Tigers this Sunday
The Tigers are through to the Limited-Overs Cup Final after defeating Bankstown in the Semi-Final on Sunday!
After being sent in to bat first by Bankstown at Drummoyne Oval, the Tigers posted a very defendable 9/263 at the conclusion of the 50 overs. After losing a few early wickets, aggressive opening batsman Ryan Felsch (78 off 59 balls) continued his run of form in white-ball cricket to ensure the scoreboard kept moving forward. Ben Manenti (47) and Beau McClintock (26) put together a valuable partnership through the middle to ensure the Tigers had a platform to post a strong total. Nick Govers capitalised on this platform to polish off the innings with a hard hitting 53no off 40, which included 4 sixes. The Tigers ensured Bankstown were always playing catch up with 4 crucial top order wickets early. Nic Bills continued his rich vein of form with the ball claiming the important scalp of Michael Stretton to end a dangerous partnership, before cleaning up the tail to finish with 4/38 and send the Tigers through to the big dance!
Be sure the get down to Drummoyne Oval this coming Sunday as the Tigers take on Sydney University in the big one!
