1s and 2s storm into QFs with last round victories

The last round of the season has seen First, Second and Fifth Grade claim victories against Campbelltown-Camden.

At Drummoyne Oval, First Grade compiled a dominant victory against Campbelltown-Camden. After losing the toss and being asked to field first the Tigers did well to restrict the opposition to 8/201 at the conclusion of the 50 overs. Alex Glendenning, Ben Manenti and Ben Mitchell shared the bulk of the wickets, taking 2 each. In reply, the Tigers got the job done with ease thanks to Liam Scott's (104 off 92 balls) maiden First Grade ton. Scott's dominant innings saw the Tigers home inside 27 overs, cementing 4th spot on the ladder, where the boys will face UTS North Sydney at North Sydney Oval this weekend in the Qualifying Final.

At Raby Oval 1, Second Grade also claimed victory against Campbelltown-Camden. Winning the toss and batting first, the Tigers posted 5/207 at the conclusion of the 50 overs on a tricky wicket. Opening batsmen Liam Gibson (81) and Justin Mosca (41) made it look easy, compiling a 128 run opening stand. In reply, Campbelltown-Camden's innings got off to a poor start thanks to 4 early wickets to the Tigers. Hugh Sherriff and Ash Squire each took 2 wickets, however it was Cameron Holmes' (5/32) maiden Second Grade 5-wicket haul that ensured Campbelltown-Camden were dismissed for 139. The win sees Second Grade secure a 3rd place finish, where they will host Bankstown at Drummoyne Oval this weekend.

At Birchgrove Oval, Third Grade were unable to finish the season on a high, unfortunately going down to Campbelltown-Camden. After sending the opposition in to bat, the Tigers restricted Campbelltown-Camden to 9/192 at the end of the 50 overs. Mark Frei and Stephen King were the chief destroyers, each claiming 3 scalps. In reply, the Tigers innings never got going, with skipper Craig Di Blasio (45) the only batsman to get a start. Unfortunately Third Grade also missed out on finals cricket for season 2018/19.

At Raby Oval 2, Fourth Grade batted first and were dismissed for a below-par 131. In reply, Campbelltown-Camden chased the target 4 wickets down to cruise past the Tigers' total. A disappointing finish to the season for the Tigers, with the side also unable to reach finals this season.

At Ryde Oval, Fifth Grade finished season 2018/19 on a high, with a commanding win against Campbelltown-Camden. Bowling first, the Tigers dismissed the opposition for 74 inside 29 overs. Declan Armstrong (5/16) claimed his first 5fa in Tigers colours in the win, with Louis Mosmann playing a strong supporting role in taking 3/19. In reply, the Tigers managed to chase the target 4 wickets down, with Justin Rodgie (27no) steering the boys home in his return from injury. The victory sees Fifth Grade finish the season on a positive note after a disappointing start to season 2018/19.

After the final round of the season, the Tigers finished 5th on the Club Championship ladder. After sitting in the bottom half of the table pre-Christmas, a strong end to season 2018/19 saw the Rampants finish in a respectable position.
