The Sydney Cricket and Sports Grounds employ staff in areas such as events, finance, operations, communications, strategy, technology, human resources, membership, marketing, sales, hospitality, grounds and security.

In addition event day staff perform customer service and crowd safety roles to ensure members, patrons and guests enjoy a memorable experience whilst visiting the SCG precinct.

Where required by legislation, employment is subject to background checks (including criminal history and working with children).

Work experience

Work experience

The SCG is a highly sought-after venue for year 10 and 11 students to undertake work experience.

There are no current work experience programs available. 

Acceptance of students to the Work Experience Program is subject to the submission of appropriate documentation inclusive of the work experience application form and relevant insurance policy from the school (which must be submitted and approved prior to commencement of the program).

Each application will be considered on the basis of availability of the program and suitability of the applicants to the individual programs.

The SCG provides casual employment on event days for customer service staff.

Event day staff are the face of our venues and leave first and last impressions for patrons and their experiences at the SCG.

Events happen all year round, so staff should have a genuine interest in ongoing casual employment.

Crowd safety staff

Crowd safety staff

The SCG is looking for licensed individuals with crowd safety experience to join our existing team.

You will have a minimum one year's experience in a crowd safety role. Minimum qualifications for this role are a current Security Licence (1AC), Senior First Aid and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

You will have strong verbal and written communication skills including problem solving and an ability to give clear and concise instructions. You will take pride in your personal presentation.

Ideally you will have knowledge of the various types of sporting events held at our venues. Master licence: 407431355.

Applicants for crowd safety staff are required to be flexible in availability, especially Thursday and Friday nights, as well as weekends.
