Event Day Operation

Due to the significant demand for parking spaces in the Gold Members car park on event days at the Sydney Football Stadium and the SCG, the Trust wishes to advise its Members of some important information.

For events conducted on weekdays at the Trust's venues, the car park will be staffed from very early in the day.  This ensures that the car park's capacity is optimised for the event itself.  A fee of $10 per vehicle applies for Gold Members using the Gold Members car park on event days.

The Gold Members car park is a facility that serves many purposes.  Contractual and other obligations require the Trust to reserve a number of spaces for clients other than Gold Members.  The process of reserving spaces will be managed by the Trust and will be kept to a manageable level at all times.

For premium events assessed as being high demand, the Trust will employ traffic managers to assist with the parking process and ensure that every space in the car park is taken up.  Due to wider traffic management issues on Moore Park Road and Driver Avenue, the practice of back filling car parking spaces that have been vacated after the car park has been closed is not permitted.  This is a direct instruction from the NSW Police.

Once the capacity of the Gold Members car park is reached, Gold Members will be directed to the adjacent Kippax Lake car park which is operated by the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.  Users are subject to the following event day parking fees (access subject to availability):

  • Vehicles with 1, 2 or 3 passengers - $20
  • Vehicles with 4 or more passengers - $15

Gold Members, please be advised that you should arrive as early as possible on event days in order to secure a parking space.  The operation of this important facility will continue to be reviewed and adjusted to optimise efficiency.

Gold Members Car Park Construction Plan

The Trust has completed building 2 temporary offices in the far end of the Gold Members car park.

These offices will accommodate Trust staff, allowing the demolition of the existing Trust Administration office on Moore Park Road. Subject to DA approval, construction of a new three storey office complex will be built on the site. It is expected that the new premises will be completed early in 2008.

The Membership and Venue Services office will operate as per usual.
